    Climate Change Policy Lead

    The GROW campaign is about transforming the world’s broken food system so that it works for everyone. It is also about ensuring that the system is fit for a future where unequal access to natural resources and environmental challenges such as climate change, will make feeding the world even harder. This role will lead Oxfam’s policy and advocacy strategy development on climate change issues.

    Our next Climate Change Policy Lead will require a range of skills and experience. You will have significant experience of successful policy, advocacy and research work in a campaigning context and demonstrable experience of impactful work on climate change issues/campaigns. You will be able to demonstrate clear understanding of all campaigning tactics and have worked with community groups/marginalised peoples. You will have experience in people management- supporting your team’s professional development, as well as informal leadership skills- being able to influence effectively in a matrixed environment. Experience of developing and managing budgets is also a prerequisite. You will also have demonstrable ability to ‘speak truth to power’, addressing and analysing power imbalances.

    Land Rights Advocacy Lead

    Land rights have been a core focus of Oxfam's global GROW campaign for food justice since its launch in 2011. The campaign has a track record of major victories in this time – from pushing the world's biggest food and beverage companies to adopt commitments to zero tolerance for land grabs, and securing major reforms in the land policies of international financial institutions, to supporting communities in numerous countries to access justice for land rights abuses. This role will provide policy leadership to a group of land advocates working across 30 countries and globally to fight land injustices. You will develop new alliances and strategies to change the way the global food system impacts on the land rights of local communities and rural women. You will amplify the voice of the local communities Oxfam works to change policies and practices of major global institutions or processes.

    Our next Land Rights Advocacy Lead will require a range of skills and experience. You will have significant experience of successful policy, advocacy and research work in a campaigning context and demonstrable experience of impactful work on land rights issues/campaigns and experience of working on cases involving large companies and/or development finance institutes. You will be able to demonstrate clear understanding of all campaigning tactics and have worked with community groups/marginalised peoples, particularly First Nations people and rural women.

    You will have significant experience developing organizational strategies and plans. You will have experience in people management- supporting your team’s professional development, as well as informal leadership skills- being able to influence effectively in a matrixed environment. Experience of developing and managing budgets is also a prerequisite. You will also have demonstrable ability to ‘speak truth to power’, addressing and analysing power imbalances.
