The Rural Electrification Authority was established under Section 66 of the Energy Act, 2006 (No 12 of 2006) as a body corporate. It was created in order to accelerate the pace of rural electrification in the country, a function which was previously undertaken by the Ministry of Energy.
Three (3) month Internship Program-July and October 2019 Intake
In line with the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation’s (REREC’s) mandate of accelerating the pace of rural electrification and the promotion of renewable energy sources for sustainable socio-economic development, the Corporation has launched the REREC Internship Program (RERECIP).
The program’s objective is to support the Government of Kenya’s initiative of empowering Kenyan youth by providing them with opportunities to sharpen their skills and expand their knowledge in their respective professions.
A degree or Diploma from recognized University in any of the following disciplines: Engineering (Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil and Mechatronic engineering) Geospatial/Geomatic Engineering, Geographic Information systems, Land Economics, Renewable energy, Environmental Studies/ Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Information Communication and Technology (ICT), Business and Information Technology (BBIT), Human Resource Management, Communication, Public Relations, Administration, Security studies/ Criminology and Law
Should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The Corporation WILL NOT offer employment after the completion of the program.
