    Laboratory Technician

    About the Role

    This is a key clinical position that will provide critical impact on our ability to provide comprehensive primary care to our patients. We are looking for individuals who can ensure an outstanding patient experience while providing the highest quality laboratory results.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive laboratory services. You will see a large variety of patients from many different backgrounds who present with various complaints and have different laboratory needs.

    Qualifications

    • Outstanding patient interaction skills are a must

    • Diploma, Higher Diploma or BSC in Medical Laboratory Science
    • Fully proficient in lab services, including hematology

    Role Description

    At Penda, we need our Medical Centre to win the trust of their communities and grow their patient numbers, especially the repeat patients (we have ambitious targets for that). Your most important goal will be to make all your branches hit the targets by delivering excellent services. If a Medical Centre is not performing, you will be responsible for turning it around.

    Responsibilities

    • You are responsible for making your branches hit their targets each month. You will work with your team and use data to make logical decisions about how you will make the branches grow. Then you will execute those plans meticulously
    • It’s your job to make your team (and their teams) happy to be working with Penda, to give them loads of feedback (praises and constructive feedback), and to help them grow into other roles at Penda.
    • You will hire new managers when necessary. You will do interviews, supervise assignments and work trials and make a hiring recommendation
    • You will make sure our patients are super satisfied with their experience, come back to Penda every time they get sick and refer all their friends and family to us. You will do this by making sure we deliver our product consistently and our teams are adhering to the Penda standards
    • You will make sure all of Penda works together well, conflicts are resolved and we stick to agreements we make with each other. You will be great at communicating with your team and with Penda about everything that is going on at the branches.

    Client Relations Assistant

    Role Description 

    Penda’s Product is an outstanding patient experience from beginning to the end.  The Business Intelligence team works to understand what makes up a great patient experience, and helps our Medical Centre’s to deliver that consistently. The Client Relations Assistant will directly report to the Senior Client Relations Officer and work closely with Medical Centers to implement a great patient experience.

    • Help us know what a great Penda patient experience looks like!
    • Work with our outstanding MC teams at all of our branches.
    • Help us understand our patient’s needs and make them feel heard.

    Responsibilities

    • Proactively reach out to patients to measure the consistency of the patient experience across our branches.
    • Help colleagues understand our patients by regularly sharing feedback, whether through reports or just by sharing a fun story from a patient!
    • Receive, document and manage patient calls from our hotlines – use technology to be efficient and effective.
    • Make patients feel comfortable when giving your feedback – they should feel that they can give you their honest opinion, even when it is critical of Penda.
    • Be a great teammate. Support other departments when they need feedback from patients.
    • Support the Client Relations Officer in any other duties to enable the Business intelligence team meets their targets.

    Hours

    Our Medical Centres are open from 9:00 am-9:00 pm and you get at least 2 days off per week and one weekend off per month.
