    Global Talent Acquisition Manager

    PATH is currently recruiting for a Global Talent Acquisition Manager to oversee the Global Recruiting Coordination function.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage a regionally distributed team of Recruiting Coordinators (RC) in Africa and Asia, uphold staffing policies, drive adherence to recruiting best practices.
    • Dotted line responsibility for RCs in the US, as it pertains to their role in the global recruiting coordination framework.
    • Serve as an aligned Talent Advisor for the region.
    • Balance recruiting needs and team capacity, ensuring coverage, workload allocation, and overseeing team schedules. Load balancing team activities in support of aligned recruiters. RC duties include:
      • Job posting, advertising, and newsletters.
      • Schedule complex interviews with multiple individuals across time zones using Outlook, videoconferencing, Skype and other technologies.
      • Manage candidate travel.
      • Proactively communicate effectively with interview team, recruiter and candidates to ensure a professional interview experience.
      • Background and Bridger Checks.
      • Assignment Network process (PATH internal project recruitment).
      • Systems administration and support.
      • Data collection and management ensuring accuracy of requisitions, new hire information, and electronic job files ensuring PATH standards are followed.
      • Administrative support to the recruiting team, such as ordering supplies, submitting check requests and scheduling team meetings.
    • Oversee and monitor performance of the Regional RCs. Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship during regular meetings with each team member.
    • Hire, train, and onboard new RCs, external resources, and contractors as needed.
    • Manage other recruiting team members as appropriate.
    • Maintain global RC framework by collaborating with the US Talent Acquisition Manager, and other members of the recruiting team, to align Regional RC function with US recruiting coordinator function and other operational and support efforts, ensuring global consistency across the function.
    • Serve on the Recruiting Leadership Team, advising on recruiting team decisions and contributing to the development of the recruiting team strategy, work plan, budget and project planning.
    • Contribute to the oversight and management of recruiting related projects. Help set project priorities, assign activities to team members, and lead identified projects accordingly.
    • Help ensure the adoption and consistent usage of the optimized recruiting process and contribute to the continuous improvement of recruiting practices.
    • Help oversee and participate in networking and social media activities, career fairs and other events for the various regions.
    • Oversee recruiting operations systems and tools, e.g. ATS, Ref Check System, Team SharePoint site.
    • Ensure compliance with PATH policies and practices and applicable to local employment law.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • 5 years’ experience in full life-cycle recruiting with exposure to the NGO or life sciences sector.
    • Ability to manage direct reports across multiple geographies.
    • Ability to lead through influencing other members of the recruiting team.
    • Proven effectiveness leading talent searches while demonstrating professionalism, discretion, fairness, and confidentiality.
    • Experience mentoring and guiding early in career professionals.
    • Experience recruiting for leaders and highly technical professionals.
    • Ability to prioritize competing demands and keep others apprised of progress.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrated success applying effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
    • Track record of creative problem solving, establishing trust quickly and engaging others to create win-win situations for the organization.
    • Demonstrated effectiveness working efficiently, productively, and with urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
    • Proven success using online recruiting tools and strategies to identify talent.
    • Proficiency in Recruiting Systems (i.e. SilkRoad, SkillSurvey, Avature, Outlook, etc.).

    Description Of Internship Project

    PATH is currently recruiting an intern based in the Nairobi PATH office to support the newly revamped Due Diligence process within the Operations and Research Affairs Division. The Due Diligence Intern will support execution of the Due Diligence process while ensuring high quality, exceptionally written content is timely submitted to the donor or requestor.

    The Intern will work closely with the Operations Manager to manage the Due Diligence process while ensuring learning and knowledge management that support process improvement is structured, communicated and informs continuous process efficiency.

    Internship Goals And Learning Objectives/benefit To The Intern

    The intern will support the Due Diligence process activities while gaining :

     

    • Knowledge in proposal content research, analysis and writing.
    • Exposure to PATH's global team of experts in proposal writing, donor engagement and relationship management.
    • Opportunity to support the piloting and implementation phase of the Due Diligence process improvement cycle.

    Skills to be developed and/or expanded during internship:  

    • Process improvement knowledge for a complex International NGO;
    • Knowledge of global health and international development;
    • Project collaboration tools i.e. Teams, Smartsheets.
    • Content Research, analysis, Due Diligence process and knowledge management.

    Proposed activities:  

    • Assisting with gathering and aggregating content for due diligence requests
    • Collaborating with the Operations management team to ensure Due Diligence process improvement, testing and learning.
    • Assisting with knowledge management and building of the Due Diligence repository.
    • Supporting colleagues as needed.

    Learning outcomes (how the Intern’s performance will be evaluated):  

    • The Due Diligence Intern will learn methods involved in researching content and materials to support Quality completion of Due Diligence requests.
    • The intern will develop communication skills needed to respond to Due Diligence.
    • The intern will learn to apply Due Diligence process improvement process and determine if the revamped process is meeting the desired expectations.

    Required Skills

    • A great researcher and an effective writer with the ability to use business language to match what is being asked and/or emotional twist when is required.
    • Data driven individual with ability to use historical data to substantiate what’s known and why something is needed and should also understand the inter-dependency of both historical and future data in processing a due diligence request.
    • A process-oriented individual who will quickly acclimate to PATH's culture and able to use the institutional knowledge to execute the newly revamped Due diligence process. This individual can quickly notice bottle necks and propose resolutions to ensure the process is running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Detail oriented individual with the ability to interpret PATH's goals and align Due Diligence responses to PATH's reality.
    • Initiative driven and not afraid to speak up and make recommendations for a different approach or suggestions.
    • Developed self-awareness, ability to work with results driven multi-cultural teams
