Job Details
- Gathering information on programmes and significant events within the county Government and the impact on customers, and forwarding the same to the head of a Public Communications Unit within the county for dissemination;
- Assisting in the development of communications and media strategy; editing stories on various topical issues before they are released to the public
- liaising with media practitioners and the public on issues of mutual concern in the county
- scheduling interviews with County Government officials
- managing assigned projects/programmes; and
- Organizing events under the guidance of the head of the Unit/Section

Qualifications
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Social Sciences or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized University/Institution;
- Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili; and
- Be proficient in computer

For Promotion the Officer Must
