Validation Assistant Manager at Commercial Bank of Africa Ltd (CBA)

Managing the integrity of the group treasury position accounts and related outstanding items in reconciliation and ensuring prompt settlement of foreign and money market dealings in line with CBA group finance and administration policy guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PERCENTAGE TIME SPENT

• Integrity of Group treasury position accounts (20%).
• Reconciliation of fixed income accounts against those held by custodian (20%)
• Daily review of ageing items on treasury suspense accounts (20%)
• Validation of all financial market balance sheet open & active accounts for each CBA entity not misused (20%)
• Adequacy of personal and staff competence to effectively perform treasury validation activities(10%).
• Effectiveness of unit and systems (policies, processes, procedures and tools) in achieving compliance requirements, resource utilization and cost containment (10%).

• Technical skills to effectively perform and/or guide performance of Treasury validation activities/tasks in a manner that consistently produce high quality of service.

• guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
• Self-empowerment to enable development of open communication, teamwork and trust that are needed to support performance and customer-service oriented culture.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• University degree.
• Five years’ experience in banking operations with specific experience in treasury operations and payments.
• Three years’ experience in supervisory role.
• AKIB (K) and/or other relevant professional qualifications in Treasury operations and risk would be an added advantage.
• Practical experience in use of relevant MS Office applications.
