    Sales Director - Diversey Care

    The Role

    The above position is immediately available within SealedAir Kenya (Eastern and Southern Africa Region-ESA).The position will be based in Nairobi-Kenya with frequent travel to countries within the ESA region.  He/she will have a dual reporting role: solid reporting line to Operations Director (Eastern and Southern Africa) and dotted reporting line to VP Africa, Middle East & Turkey.

    The successful candidate is responsible for accelerated business growth, identification and development of new business opportunities as well as servicing the existing accounts.Together with his/her team, He/She builds and maintains effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that will include major strategic customers within ESA. He/She identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities .Creates demand for the organization's products and services by raising their profile with customers. Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account. May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies

    Key Accountabilities

    • Develop a business strategy for Diversey Care Division in Eastern and Souther Africa and identify the action plans needed to deliver the strategy.
    • Develop and grow existing accounts through a focused sales plan
    • Manage a high performing team and ensure the collective objectives are met
    • Service existing key customers
    • Identify and explore new sales opportunities
    • Develop a strong relationship with the decision makers in the key account

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Graduate degree in Chemistry, Food science, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology  or any other related discipline.
    • At least 5 years’ Experience in Business to Business selling, some of which must be in managing a team.
    • Experience in the chemical or detergent industry preferable.
    • Strong people management skills
    • Experience and understanding of P&L
    • In-depth understanding of market dynamics
    • Must have the ability to work independently, take initiative and manage priorities
    • Excellent communication and organization skills is highly required
    • Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships
    • Experience in the great Eastern Africa will be an added advantage
