    Program Manager

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Healthcare Administration OR Business Administration OR any related field in Medical Sciences, (MBA or a Master degree in related fields will be an added advantage).
    • Must be fluent in spoken and written English.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in managing healthcare services at an international level.

    Note: CHS will provide institutional malpractice insurance as well as individual malpractice policies for all the General

    Medical Officers.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serves as primary interface with customer, Contracting Officer and other designated Government officials throughout the term of the contract and related task orders.
    • Ensures customer satisfaction by delivering quality service and effective solutions to emergent conditions.
    • Manages the transition from contract award to full CHS operating capability as described in the basic contract and associated task orders.
    • Plans, and executes all contractual service requirements.
    • Prepares, and manages program budgets, schedules, and achieves all performance requirements.
    • Directs program activities in accordance with the contract and Task Order PWS.
    • Applies CHS policies and procedures or develops and implements new procedures, as may be required.
    • Maintains or coordinates IT, radio and telephonic communication, transportation and other support services capability that are provided by the customer, CHS partners, customer contractors and others to ensure no interruption in service to the customer.
    • Establishes and maintains patient tracking processes and procedures that will account for patient locations with the program health care delivery network.
    • Responsible through assigned PMO staff for all supply chain management processes to support continuous, fully capable operations of health care facilities.
    • Coordinates with the customer, customer contractors, customer facilities and capabilities (e.g., Medevac, Warehouses) to ensure mutual, timely support.
    • Provides direction and guidance to all program staff.
    • Manages the quality programs of business partners, subcontractors, services contractors, and suppliers supporting the program.
    • Provides Corporate and client management with timely, transparent and accurate information to assess program performance.
    • Assists with the managing of day to day activities and prioritizing tasks.
    • Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
    • Complies with all applicable CHS standards and guidelines.
    • Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
    • Other duties as assigned

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a current passport.
    • Must sign a CHS Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the FSA.
    • Will be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English. Ability to speak French is desirable.
    • Work hours are based on an 84 hr. work week; typically seven (7), 12 hour days but other variations may apply.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance CHS Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.
    • No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment; including protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor and chemical/biological protective garments or conditions that would prevent the capability of donning, lifting or carrying of up to 70 lbs. of referenced gear while running to a bunker or protected area in the face of perceived or imminent danger.
    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Somalia is required by surface or air.
