    Human Resources Management Officer II

    REF:HRMO/8 /7/2017

    The position is responsible to the Senior Human Resource Management Officer for ensuring effective coordination of all HR functions including recruitment & selection, policies and procedures, learning and development, employee records and documentation, employee relations and performance management.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    i. Provide human resource administrative support through managing staff leave, personnel files, confidential correspondence and compilation of relevant reports
    ii. Management of staff performance and rewards thereof;
    iii. Assist in processing recruitment, selection, placement and staff separation;
    iv. Ensure submission of staff performance reports on semi- annually and annually basis;
    v. Implement various HR policies and procedures;
    vi. Monitor implementation of performance contracting programs and provide reports thereof on quarterly and annually basis;
    vii. Maintenance of work environment, occupational health and safety standards and management of staff welfare programmes;
    viii. Maintain an up to date staff database;
    ix. Ensure effective provision of all office services i.e. telephone, registry, transport, office supplies, cleanliness of offices and other facilities.
    x. Handle the Commission’s insurance matters in liaison with other relevant stakeholders

    Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience:

    i. Bachelors degree in Social Science and a post graduate Higher Diploma in HRM with a minimum five (5) years of experience.
    OR
    Served in the grade of Human Resource Management Assistant I or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of six(6) years and be in possession of a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
    ii. Member of relevant professional body
    iii. Computer literate
    iv. Ability to multi-task and maintain high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    v. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and influencing skills
    vi. Ability to maintain confidentiality
    vii. Problem solving skills and initiative
