    Finance Officers

    Job Purpose

    Ensure that all accounting processes and procedures such as settlements/payments; reconciliation of accounts; compilation and management of budgets; compilation and filing of returns are conducted efficiently and effectively.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Processing of payments
    2. Opening of accounts and records management
    3. Maintenance of supplier/client static data
    4. Operational risk management, business continuity and disaster recovery
    5. Provide and interpret financial information, analysing and advising accordingly;
    6. Monitor and interpret cash flows and produce varied accurate financial reports;
    7. Recommend financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;
    8. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-optimization opportunities;
    9. Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure regular and annual audits are carried out smoothly;
    10. Prepare and manage budgets;
    11. Prepare financial reports
    12. Record account payable and accounts receivable
    13. Reconcile Bank statements
    14. Review and implement financial policies

    Qualification and Experience

    1. Minimum: Upper Second Class Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Banking, Accounting, Business Administration or related areas.
    2. Additionally, one should possess a minimum of CPA I/ACCA I or any other professional qualifications in either Banking or Finance/Accounting
    3. One to two (2) years’ relevant experience in a finance and or accounting environment

    Competencies

    1. Report writing skills
    2. Knowledge of accounts and accounting principles
    3. Finance and risk analysis skills
    4. Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite and financial software
    5. Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
    6. Ability to think strategically with creative problem solving skills.
    7. Knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and clear understanding of business risk management
    8. Knowledge of accounting regulations and accounting standards
