    Sales & Marketing Manager - Flower Export Company

    Sales & Marketing Manager Job Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate with freight agents and ensure products reach the market on time and in the right condition.
    • Conduct Market research and identifying business opportunities based on consumer requirements; defining market, evaluate market condition, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business.
    • Formulating and implementing Sales & marketing strategies and understanding current and potential customers in line with Company objectives
    • Overseeing all activities in Sales & Marketing within the Company, ensuring sales targets are met.
    • Designing and piloting marketing events and campaigns abroad to attract more customers managing marketing mix and company portfolio
    • Execute marketing effort and reaching regular sales targets by working closely with the directors to develop appropriate marketing events abroad.
    • Ensure the company’s products are the market leader in both sales and visibility
    • Establish healthy customer relationship with current and potential customers throughout the various stages of the marketing process
    • Measuring success: The process of collecting and analysing data on success through website hits, sales figures, market share data, customer satisfaction or many other metrics, record and track these as a core part of the marketing process.
    • Budget management. To deliver all marketing activity within the agreed budget and direct marketing staff where budgets are devolved.
    • Maintains sales volume, product mix, and changing trends and seasons
    • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
    • Ensuring legislative compliance with industry standards and internal quality systems, maintaining confidentiality and protocols
    • Develop and drive export sales activity by considering the sales offer and evaluating potential export market.
    • Day to day management of sales and marketing team ensuring they are on track for achieving KPI’s.
    • Setting Sales and marketing KPI’s to manage activity within the team.
    • Working with sales executives on approaches to building business.
    • Training the sales team on sales techniques and giving advice.
    • Performance management for the sales and marketing team.
    • Overseeing all marketing activity and ensuring it fits with the marketing strategy.
    • Managing the Company’s social media accounts and posting relevant content.
    • Arranging for Company to attend relevant Industry events, trade shows, exhibitions, conventions and conferences.
    • Monitor all sales transactions and review all customer responses for all orders and payments while maintaining customer requirements.
    • Maximize all opportunities in the process of closing a sale, contributing to an increased market share for the company products.
    • To liaise regularly with concerned departments to ensure product availability in line with sales and orders required.
    • To handle customer complaints and enquiries swiftly (working closely with grading and quality control teams).

    Qualifications for the Sales & Marketing Manager Job

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing
    • Professional qualification in Sales & marketing
    • Over 5 years’ experience in Marketing especially in the flower industry
    • Ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with varied stakeholders
    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to prepare sales & marketing budget to ensure highest return on investment
    • A strategic thinker with ability for formulate and Implement sales strategies and targets
    • MUST Have Proven experience in Senior Management Level
    • Willingness to travel and work out of the office.
    • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
    • Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
    • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
    • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
    • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
