The Director, Corporate Planning reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for initiating and leading strategic process for the development and implementation of long-term, medium and short term plans. The director is also responsible for monitoring and evaluation of corporate performance and coordination of the risk management framework.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• Initiating the development of the long, medium and short term corporate strategies and Plans
• Coordinating implementation of the KICC Strategic Plan by use of the Balanced Scorecard
• Coordinating implementation of Risk Management framework in the organization
• Providing the platform for planning in the organization
• Coordinating Corporate research on all matters in the organization
• Overseeing the management Quality management system in the Corporation
• Coordinating preparation and implementation of Corruption Prevention plan and strategies
• Coordinating Monitoring and Evaluation of the Corporation’s performance;
• Coordinating the identification of performance contracting targets and annual work plans
• Initiating the corporation’s business process re-engineering in the Corporation
• Providing overall leadership to the directorate and be in charge of all the functions of the directorate

PERSON SPECIFICATION

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

• A minimum period of ten (10) years relevant work experience three (3) years’ should be in a management position.
• Bachelors Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration or any other related field from a recognized institution
• Masters Degree in Economics, Strategy, Marketing, Business Administration and any other related field from a recognized institution
• Be a member of Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Institute of Risk Management, ISACA
• Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
