    Senior Principal Office Administrator

    KICC 5

    Ref. KICC/SPOA/2018

    The Principal Office Administrator reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the overall secretarial services and management for Executive office.

    Roles

    • Using e-office to research and process data;
    • Operating office equipment;
    • Attending to visitors/clients;
    • Handling telephone calls
    • Handling customer inquiries and complaints;
    • Coordinating schedules of meetings and appointments;
    • Taking minutes, coordinating travel arrangements
    • Ensuring security of office records, equipment and documents, including classified materials; ensuring security, integrity and confidentiality of data
    • Establishing and monitoring procedures for record keeping of correspondence and file movements

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution;
    • Certificate in Secretarial Management Course lasting not less than three (3) weeks from Kenya School of Government or any other recognized institution
    • Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution;

    Principal Accountant

    KICC GRADE 4

    Ref. KICC/PA/2018

    The Principal Finance & Accounts reports to the Manager Finance & Accounting and is responsible for monitoring and evaluating laid down systems, preparing management accounts and reconciliation.

    Duties

    • Monitoring and evaluating the laid down systems and make recommendations for improving the financial systems;
    • Tracking the utilization of capital and operational expenditure against the approved budget and report on the same;
    • Confirming the accuracy and completeness of accounts receivables (invoicing, receipting, banking and reconciliations) and reporting on the same as appropriate;
    • Identifying and report to the Manager, Finance of any identified incidences of non-compliance with laid down financial systems and financial risks facing the Corporation;
    • Liaising with other Departments so as to ensure that financial and related regulations are complied with and where applicable give procedural guidance including dealing with any staff enquiries on any payment related matters;
    • Preparing of management accounts and end of year financial statements as well as timely submission of annual financial statements of accounts;
    • Reviewing and coordinating accounts analysis and reconciliations (including bank reconciliations) on a daily basis;
    • Coordinating the payment of suppliers of goods and services and ensure that Suppliers are paid promptly and deal with any supplier related enquiries
    • Reviewing the payroll and effect accurate salary payments
    • Preparation and reconciliation of credit reports
    • Ensuring provision of accurate timely reliable financial information;
    • Organizing and coordinating responses to audit queries.

    Job  Requirements

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • Served in the grade of Senior Accountant or in a comparable for a minimum period of six (6) years and (3)years of which should have served in a senior position.
    • Bachelors degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or its equivalent;
    • Master’s degree in any of the following: Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or their equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
    • A management course not lasting less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
    • Membership to the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) as a CPA(K) in good standing
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in the usage of recognized computer accounting software and common office applications
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

    Principal Compliance Services Officer

    The Principal Compliance Officer reports to the Planning Manager and is responsible for quality assurance.

    Duties

    • Implementing of quality assurance policies and procedures in the Corporations;
    • Managing Departmental internal processes for compliance with the quality management system;
    • Coordinating Quality Management Representative functions in the Corporation;
    • Undertaking sensitization of staff on awareness of customer requirements to comply with set standards
    • Guiding the implementation of risk management function in the Corporation
    • Ensuring that document processes comply with the required standards;
    • Determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications;
    • Preparing and ensure implementation of Corruption Prevention plan and strategies
    • Preparing and submitting in a timely manner periodic reports to the Corporation;
    • Coordinating internal audits and follow-up audits;

    Job Requirements

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    • A minimum period six of (6) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of senior officer
    • A minimum period five of (5) years experience in ISO or other Quality Management System Training
    • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks iv. Certificate/ training (not less than four (4) weeks in Risk Management
    • Bachelors Degree in Business, Strategy, Social Science or related field from a recognized institution
    • Masters Degree Business, Social Science or related field from a recognized institution
    • Membership to Institute of Risk Management, ISACA
    • Have a diploma or its equivalent qualification in Quality Management Systems (QMS) from a recognized institution

    Director Operations

    The Director Operations reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and advice to ensure optimal utilization and management of the Corporations resources in the functional areas of technical services, events, customer service and housekeeping.

    Job Requirements

    • Initiate the development and review of Operations guidelines
    • Coordinate the implementation of the Operations guidelines
    • Identify, prioritize and coordinate the corporation’s operations projects
    • Develop long term and short term Plans for various operations programs /projects, and achieved agreed target in line with the corporations strategic Plan

    • Professional qualification and membership to a professional body where applicable

    Director, Corporate Planning

    The Director, Corporate Planning reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for initiating and leading strategic process for the development and implementation of long-term, medium and short term plans. The director is also responsible for monitoring and evaluation of corporate performance and coordination of the risk management framework.

    The Digital Communication Manager reports to the Director Business Development Services and is responsible for strategic design, implementation and management of a range of online communication strategies, targeting media and industry engagement to promote KICC as a premier destination of business events.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    • Develop and manage an effective social media strategy that acquires and retain users in general and within targeted audience segments
    • Plan, implement and analyze video and distributed content across multiple Facebook pages and other social media platforms
    • Monitor discussions, posts, and comments across multiple social media channels
    • Ensure all plans are aligned to the wider brand and editorial strategy and will drive increased consumer engagement, website traffic, data acquisition and maximize revenues, while also increasing brand equity and online awareness
    • Generate creative ideas for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Pinterest and more
    • Understand the brand and the community and ensure all plans and activity meet internal needs and our fans expectations.
    • Work with teams to edit and post the best and most viral, irresistible event clips and monitor strategies to maximize video views and content sharing

    • Be a registered member of a relevant professional body.

    Terms of offer
