Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance and development of quality ICT service to the County Assembly
• Responsibility for the strategic development of the ICT service
• Liaising with relevant external suppliers and contractors to ensure best value of ICT related services
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures and record keeping in relation to provision and safety of systems
• Managing software licensing requirements
• Planning and managing user access rights and permissions to the County Assembly network in line with Data Protection law
• Installing, upgrading and updating relevant operating systems and software, including network security software
• Leading on the diagnosis of Hardware and Software problems and advising on strategies to support the management of this as well as general maintenance and repair
• Developing and maintaining an efficient and effective telephone system

Requirements for Appointment

• A candidate must have satisfactorily served in a related position for a minimum period of three (3) years.
• A Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution Demonstrated professional ability, initiative and competence in organizing and directing work and clear understanding of Computer Science, Hardware, Network administration, Maintenance, or Software Support;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results Experience in ICT project management, Systems development and implementation, network configurations and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and User Support.
• Meets the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter six of the Constitution
