    Data Entry Clerks Team Lead - Advanced

    No. Required: 2 (1 Migori and 1 Homa Bay)

    Overall Purpose: To manage efficient data entry and database support services to Vectorlink County project in co-ordination with the County M&E assistant, database coordinator and M&E Manager. S/He will ensure proper data entry and filing system for IRS and other epidemiological data collected in the field.

    Specific Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring data forms from all sites have been received and verified before entries
    • Ensuring the data centre tracking sheet is updated daily and update the teams accordingly
    • Dividing the forms equally among DECs for entry
    • Ensuring all forms are filed after entry
    • Monitoring the use of data centre supplies (e.g., box files, clear bags)
    • Support data cleaning and ensuring it is done on a daily basis
    • Work closely with IT assistant in ensure troubleshooting and support and data entry clerk machines
    • Coordinating with County M&E Assistant to ensure data forms with errors are acted upon in time by the field teams
    • Ensure data is backed-up on a daily basis

    Required qualifications and experience:

    • Vocational training in IT related course
    • 1 year experience in data entry of IRS data will be an added advantage
    • Additional professional training in data entry preferred.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

    • Willingness and flexibility to work long and unsociable hours
    • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
    • Knowledge of USAID procurement policies and regulations a plus.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and database software;
    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting;
    • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications
