    Manager, Actuarial Services

    As a manager in our Actuarial team your impact will be seen by:

    • Taking a leading role in providing actuarial advice to our flagship client base across reserving, pricing, capital management and strategic projects for insurance companies.
    • Initiate and support business development and client relationships
    • Providing support to our flagship banking clients on credit risk modelling, impairment provisions and model reviews/ validation
    • Developing thought leadership and presenting at industry seminars
    • Working with our clients to embed impacful actuarial and business anslysis into their processes
    • Leading as project manager for various actuarial and business and assignments

    Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role

    • Able to manage and deliver high quality output whilst working on a wide range of concurrent technical and non-technical assignments.
    • Interact with clients, leading these discussions, and you will support the senior leadership team to develop long term relationships.
    • Have the opportunity to work in multidisciplinary teams and with people from our network firms overseas.
    • Take an active role in supporting the strategic management and running of the practice, by being involved in developing our core product areas.
    • Able to manage your time and the time of more junior staff and to ensure that projects are delivered to a high standard in a timely manner.
    • Be involved in the development of more junior staff through on the job coaching.

    Knowledge, skills & abilities ​

    • proven actuarial experience in a similar environment together with strong consulting capabilities and the ability to communicate with impact
    • keen to build your industry profile by networking, thought leadership and presenting at seminars
    • strong analytical / problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate a situation in a logical and methodological way
    • commercially astute approach to the management of all engagements
    • collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment

    Minimum years experience required

    • 6+ years of experience in an actuarial capacity
    • Education (if blank, degree and/or field of study not specified)
    • Degrees/Field of Study required:Degrees/Field of Study preferred: Bachelor Degree – Actuarial Science
    • Certifications (if blank, certifications not specified)
    • Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) or part qualified actuary (or another equivalent professional body) – FIA (preferred)
