    Public Engagement Assistant

    Reports to: Fundraising Officer

    Supervises: None

    Job Grade: TBD

    Major function:

    The holder of the position will engage with the general public through face to face activations, undertake an aggressive brand awareness drive, merchandise sales and public recruitment to raise funds for WWF conservation programmes in Kenya.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Engage with the public through face to face activations to recruit individual donors
    • Support in the implementation of the Panda club initiative.
    • Drive merchandising at selected activation points.
    • Collate all data from activation points relating to the engaged publics, preparing on-ground reports as necessary

    Key Qualifications

    The prospective candidate should possess the following:-

    • A Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Communications. A Bachelor’s degree is desirable
    • Sales and marketing experience in Insurance, Banking or FMCG sectors is an added advantage. 

    Key Competencies

    • A self-driven salesperson
    • Experience in report writing and good presentation skills.
    • Excellent communications, public relations and marketing skills.
    • IT proficiency in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
    • Experience in database management
    • Excellent team player 

    Working Relationships:

    • Internal: Interacts regularly with all staff of WWF
    • External: Interacts with the general public
