Accountant- Fintech at DiGi UTU

• We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage end to end accounting and financial controls for a busy forex and remittance operation. This role demands precision, integrity and confidence working in a high volume, fast moving fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions for the forex shop.
• Maintain accurate financial records and generate timely reports.
• Perform daily reconciliations across tills, bank accounts and digital platforms.
• Oversee multi currency transactions, cash flows and float management.
• Ensure full compliance with CBK FX guidelines and regulatory reporting.
• Support audits through proper documentation and record keeping.
• Monitor buy/sell FX processes, settlement cycles and exchange rate application.
• Uphold AML, KYC and transaction monitoring standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as an Accountant in a licensed forex shop.
• Strong understanding of remittance flows, settlement cycles and FX operations.
• Hands on knowledge of AML, KYC, customer verification and compliance controls.
• Solid grasp of withholding tax, VAT rules and service based tax obligations.
• Experience using Fabit or similar forex accounting systems.
• High analytical capability and unquestionable integrity.
