The Accounts Assistant will support financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, and assist in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance with statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable: Monitor revenue and expenses, consolidate financial data, and prepare reports.
Financial Accounting: Reconcile accounts, prepare accruals, and support audits.
Petty Cash Management: Manage daily cash reconciliations and ensure compliance with petty cash policies.
Working Capital & Cash Flow: Analyze financial health, optimize working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity.
Budgeting & Reporting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements, and variance analyses.
Statutory Compliance: Prepare tax returns, ensure timely payments, and adhere to regulations (e.g., PAYE, VAT, NSSF).
Audit Support: Assist in audit preparation and execution with a focus on zero queries.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA II or equivalent professional qualification.
At least 2 years of experience in accounting, ideally in FMCG.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and Kenyan statutory requirements.
High integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
