Administrative Officer II (Outreach & Citizen Engagement)
Assisting in coordination of county assembly’s outreach initiatives by providing communications, administrative, logistics or other support that is necessary to meet operational needs;
Implementing and ensuring dissemination of guidelines for best practice for outreach activities;
Implementing initiatives that increase county assembly visibility both regionally and nationally e.g. through sports, conferences, effective partnerships with other organizations, etc.;
Assisting in coordination of public participation and civic education events;
Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of outreach activities and public participation processes undertaken by the County Assembly;
Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including public participation events and other communication opportunities;
Assisting in coordinating information exchange with all stakeholders and the public to ensure citizen expectations are met;
Providing effective linkages between the county assembly headquarters and the ward offices;
Facilitating induction and periodic capacity building of ward staff;
Any other relevant duty that may be assigned by from time to time.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
A bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business or Public Administration, Political Science, Sociology, Law, International Studies, Development Studies or any other relevant Social Science from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in use of computer applications.
