    Payroll & Employee Data Specialist

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • Manage payroll and benefits administration process in CEWA
    • Manage and track total employee costs in CEWA
    • Manage employee data and HR data analytics

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Payroll Management & Benefits Administration

    • Act as the subject matter expert and point of contact for employee benefits, salary workings and payments and tax o Effectively manage the monthly payroll process for our affiliates in Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria with the support of our external payroll service providers
    • Oversee payroll costs and management with Distributor HR
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements in CEWA countries with respect to tax and taxable benefits administration o Participate in annual compensation surveys
    • Ensure alignment with and administer employee allowances and benefits as per policy as and when they fall due i.e. medical, pension, GLA, GPA
    • Manage employee benefits administration including but not limited to variable pay, medical insurance, group life and accident insurance, car benefit, telephone benefit and relocation including sensitizing employees on their total rewards

    Annual Business Planning and cost tracking

    • Provide updates on actual salary costs for each Country unit and flag budget concerns to the HR Director o Support HR Director with salary cost planning
    • Maintain and update headcount and Manpower Plans in line with ABP and in consultation with HR Business Partners

    Employee Data Management

    • Manage and track all pertinent employee data with respect to statutory requirements and in line with core HR processes including but not limited to; -
    • Personnel File Management
    • Leave management & tracking
    • Job descriptions database
    • Timely updating of the HR information system
    • Performance management and development plan tracking
    • Training calendar and attendance
    • Provide HR data analytics in line with HR metrics contained in the people cockpit and as required

    Other Assignments

    • Support HR related projects to identify opportunities for continuous improvements, drive efficiency and streamlining of business processes
    • Provide recruitment and onboarding support for new joiners including preliminary screening of applicants and facilitating background and reference check

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or Economics
    • 4-7 years’ experience in HR with at least 3 years’ experience in payroll management
    • Excellent knowledge of tax and benefit administration
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Advanced Excel skills
