Assistant Director Education at Uasin Gishu County Government

QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for appointment:-

• Bachelor’s degree in Education , Arts or Science from a recognized institution and a post graduate Diploma in Education from a recognized institution;
• Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: education, arts, Project Planning & Management, Education Communication and Technology, science, or business administration in a management related field from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than six (6) years and has at least three (3) years’ experience at management level;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence and administrative capability.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Prepare education proposal for funding;
• Implement education policies;
• Evaluate education programmes;
• Manage funds allocated to education programmes;
• Implement education curriculum;
• Oversee auditing of financial resources in educational institution;
• Carry out research on indigenous languages and all forms of national and cultural expressions;
• Implement capacity building programmes for education managers, committees and boards;
• Coordinate nominations of education management;
• Implement ICT integration programmes in education;
• Harness creativity and innovation, mobilizing resources;
• Manage education data;
• Monitor quality and standards of Education; and
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
