Bancassurance Operations Manager at I&M Bank

We are seeking to recruit a competent and highly motivated individual with extensive experience and abilities to support business growth in the following position:

BANCASSURANCE OPERATIONS MANAGER.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily activities of underwriting of all classes of business, claims, accounting, point of sales’ contact persons and formulating marketing and business strategies geared towards awareness and business growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Incumbent will report to the Head of Bancassurance and will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring all underwriting and claims procedures, manuals and SLAs are in place and adhered to.
2. Reviewing all underwriting policy documentation to ensure clients are sufficiently covered.
3. Developing and ensuring adherence of business acquisition, renewal, and retention strategies.
4. Developing procedures & product manuals and ensuring quality control in all aspects of business processing as stipulated in the procedures & product manuals.
5. Comprehensive analysis of prospect’s proposals to ensure competitiveness and sufficiency of cover on key accounts and corporates / group / business partners.
6. Training, coaching & developing underwriting / claims and point of sales contact persons.
7. Connecting  execution to the strategic organizational goals.
8. Executing business and operating model improvement projects and programs.
9. Following  up on sector evolutions to understand current and future challenges in developing long-lasting client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must have a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
2. CII / IIK / Actuarial Science or its recognized equivalent.
3. Must have at least 5years’ experience in a similar position.
4. Must have experience in the insurance sector.
5. Project management and organizational skills.
6. Strong problem solving and change management skills.
7. Strong conceptual and analytical skills
