Bill out primary & secondary claims within 24 hours of receipt.
Batch and send electronic claims through the clearing house.
Check, correct, and re-bil flagged denials.
Post and balance daily receipts (insurance and patient).
Enter data into the EMR system.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in outpatient PT billing with a strong focus on posting payments.
Proficient in using EMR systems for PT billing (Thera Office, Clinic Controller (A2C), Therabill, Prompt, and WEB PT is a plus).
Experience with Medicare and various commercial insurance carriers (Aetna, CareFirst BCBS, CIGNA, etc.), and understanding the differences between plans (eg, HMO vs. PPO).
Demonstrated accuracy and thoroughness in reporting
Superior organizational skills and good communication to work proficiently with co-workers and clients.
