    Call for Consultancy: Digital Safety Facilitator

    Scope of Work

    The selected trainer will:

    • Design and deliver engaging and interactive virtual training sessions on:
    • Digital safety and cybersecurity tools for journalists
    • Preventing and responding to online harassment and cyberbullying
    • Legal redress mechanisms and reporting procedures under Kenyan law
    • Provide case studies, examples, and tools relevant to women journalists.
    • Facilitate Q&A and peer-exchange segments.
    • Share a summary presentation and brief training report after the sessions.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Proven experience in facilitating training on digital safety and online security, preferably for journalists, human rights defenders, or women’s rights groups.
    • Sound understanding of the Kenyan legal framework on cybercrime, data protection, online violence, and reporting procedures.
    • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for online/virtual learning environments
    • Knowledge of gender issues and digital gender-based violence is an added advantage.
    • Experience working with media organizations, civil society, or women-led initiatives is desirable.

    Deliverables

    • Detailed session plan and training materials (including slides and tools)
    • Facilitation of two virtual workshops (each for 40 participants each)
    • Post-training summary report (2–3 pages) including feedback and key recommendations.
