Job Purpose

The Cashier/Sales Associate will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by processing transactions efficiently, assisting shoppers with their needs, and maintaining a clean and welcoming retail environment. Key Responsibilities

Cashier Duties

• Operate the cash register and process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change in a timely and professional manner
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the checkout area

Sales Duties

• Greet customers and assist them in locating and selecting products
• Promote and upsell store products and services
• Replenish and organize stock on the sales floor
• Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and store policies

Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service by addressing questions, concerns, and product inquiries
• Handle returns and complaints in a professional and solution-oriented manner
• Build positive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and repeat business

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirements

• A diploma or certificate in Sales, Customer Service, or Business Administration is an added advantage.
• Basic numeracy and computer literacy (knowledge of POS systems is a plus).
