Cleaner - Restaurant at Nexus Staffing Solutions

Our client, a busy restaurant in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, hygienic and organised restaurant environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across assigned areas, including dining and service areas, while observing appropriate hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain assigned restaurant areas. 
• Sweep, mop and clean floors regularly. 
• Clean tables, chairs, windows and other surfaces. 
• Maintain clean and hygienic washrooms. 
• Empty and dispose of waste appropriately. 
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness around kitchen and service areas. 
• Clean and organise cleaning equipment and supplies. 
• Replenish cleaning materials when required. 
• Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs. 
• Follow restaurant hygiene and safety procedures. 
• Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues or shortages to the supervisor. 
• Support general cleaning duties as assigned. 

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment. 
• Good understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards. 
• Ability to maintain a consistently clean environment. 
• Good personal hygiene. 
• Reliable, hardworking and responsible. 
• Physically capable of carrying out routine cleaning duties. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision. 
• Good time-management and organisational skills. 
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays where required.
