    Deputy Director, Standards & Processes – ICTA 3 (1 Position)


    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

    • At least nine (9) years relevant work experience in Public or Private Sector, three (3) of which in Management; 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronic and Electrical Engineering,
    • Business Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; 
    • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunication, Electronic and Electrical, Business Information 
    • Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Industry Certification such as CCNA, CISA, OCP, ITIL, COBIT, CISSP, CCSA among others; 
    • Leadership Course lasting less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution 
    • Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
    • A clear understanding of the National Development Goals, Vision 2030 and the role of the standards development in achievement of the same.

    Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

    • Initiating development of ICT Standards; 
    • Identifying, formulating, examining and analyzing Standards; 
    • Establishing partnerships with national and international Standards organization; 
    • Reviewing performance report of ICT standards schemes on quarterly and annual basis; 
    • Advising the Director on formation of Standards Technical Committees; 
    • Overseeing and facilitating activities of Standards technical committees; 
    • Approving and facilitating Standards dissemination, awareness and training activities; 
    • Approving reports on review of Standards for update, revision or retirement;
    • Reviewing reports on compliance of Standards - uptake, adoption and certification
