    General Manager

    Professional Qualifications and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or any social science.
    2. A Master’s degree, Hospitality, Legal & marketing experience will be an added advantage.
    3. 10 years with 5 years in a managerial role               

    Knowledge in Technical Areas (experience);

    Key Duties

    The General Manager is responsible for:

    • Attending all Meetings of the Management Committee.
    • Attending all Meetings of Sub-Committees or delegate such attendance to one of his/her Assistant Managers.
    • Preparation & Submission of Monthly Management Reports to the Management Committee.
    • Providing the Management Committee with timely and accurate information and other routine reports to help them fulfil their requirements to oversee the operations of the Club.
    • Ensuring the cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of all Club facilities, grounds, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
    • Assisting the Honorary Secretary in preparing and keeping custody of all proceedings, documents and minutes of Meetings of the Management Committee, and ensure that the same is done for Sub-Committee Committees.
    • Assisting the Sports Convenor in the proper administration of the Sports Council and the Sports Sections, including the preparation and keeping of all proceedings, documents and minutes of Meetings of the Sports Council and the Sports Sections.
    • Assisting the Youth and Couching Coordinator in the proper administration of the Sports Academy, including the preparation and keeping of all proceedings, documents and minutes of the Meetings of the Sports Academy.
    • Attending any Section or Academy Meeting he/she may deem necessary.
    • Abiding by, uphold and administering all the laws, rules and regulations of the Club.
    • Ensuring the efficient allocation of duties to the staff and proper supervision over all other Club staff.
    • Chairing and directing all Departmental Staff Meetings.
    • Dealing with all Club correspondence under the direct supervision of the Honorary Secretary.
    • Dealing with all Club procurement under the direct supervision of the HR –Subcommittee chairperson.
    • Authorizing the expenditure of Club funds by ensuring that the total amount does not exceed the designated amount as established by the Management Committee.
    • Ensuring there is effective & efficient provision of bar and catering services within the policy guidelines as laid down by the Management Committee.
    • Making suitable provisions for the security, maintenance and improvement of all Club property, including buildings, grounds and all fixed and moveable assets.
    • Giving recommendations and advise to the Management committee for the efficient management of the Club, with regard to legal obligations, the improvement of the facilities offered by the Club, and such other matters as he/she may deem necessary or as may be requested by the Management Committee.

    The General Manager will report to the Executive Committee.
