Job Description

• To lead the growth, transformation, and digital strategy agenda for Business and Commercial Banking (BCB) within the country, driving sustainable business growth, market leadership, and enhanced client value. The role is responsible for shaping, executing, scaling, commercialising, and embedding the BCB strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and defined performance metrics. It will champion digital innovation and transformation initiatives, deploy locally relevant client value propositions across strategic sectors, and accelerate customer acquisition, portfolio growth, and profitability. Working closely with Group and country stakeholders, the incumbent will localise strategic priorities, optimise investment and resource allocation, and deliver differentiated solutions that strengthen client relationships, drive commercial outcomes, and position the business for long-term success.

Field of Study: Business Commerce, Finance, Economics, Technology or related field

Experience Required

• More than 10 years
• Extensive experience across all facets of Business and Commercial Banking, including successful leadership of a business unit, client segment, or P&L of significant scale and complexity.
• Proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies that drive market expansion, revenue growth, profitability, and sustainable business performance.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale business transformation and digital innovation initiatives, with the ability to leverage emerging technologies to enhance client experience, operational efficiency, and commercial outcomes.
• Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with the ability to identify market opportunities, make sound business decisions, and deliver measurable results.
• Exceptional leadership capability with a proven ability to build high-performing teams, foster a culture of excellence, and drive employee engagement and accountability.
• Recognised transformational leader with experience leading organisational change, embedding new ways of working, and navigating complex business environments.
• Deep knowledge of the local Business and Commercial Banking market, including a strong understanding of client needs, industry dynamics, and economic drivers, gained through substantial financial services experience.
• Demonstrable success operating at a senior leadership level within organisations of comparable size, scale, and complexity.
• Strong understanding of the impact of digital disruption, emerging technologies, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution on financial services, and the ability to translate these trends into competitive business strategies.
• Experience working within matrixed and geographically diverse organisations, with the ability to influence stakeholders and align country priorities with broader group strategic objectives.
