Head of Credit Control at Peoplelink Consultants Ltd

Responsibilities

• Aggressively follow up on overdue accounts, enforce payment terms, and escalate persistent defaulters promptly.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness, set appropriate credit limits, and enforce risk mitigation policies.
• Oversee customer account reconciliations, resolve billing disputes, and ensure accurate ledgers.
• Manage, mentor, and track the performance of the credit control team to achieve recovery targets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports, cash-flow projections, and risk assessments for senior management.
• Maintain and strengthen internal credit policies to minimize bad debts and improve cash collection cycles.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA qualification is a strong advantage.
• 5-6 years of proven experience in credit control, with demonstrated supervisory or management background.
• Proactive, assertive, and aggressive in debt recovery- not timid. Strong proficiency in account reconciliation, credit risk assessment, and financial systems/ERP software.
• Excellent negotiation, team management, decision- making, and reporting skills.
