Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

• Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following social Sciences: Government, Anthropology, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce, Health Economics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Certificate in computer Application skills from a recognized institution
• Membership to Kenya Association of Health Administrators

Duties & Responsibilities

 Officer at this grade will undertake the following duties and responsibilities:

• Assist in implementation of health administrative policies, strategies, procedures and programs
• Coordination of catering and housekeeping services;
• Assist in overseeing staff and patient’s welfare by ensuring their security;
• Assist in overseeing transport management, utilization and management of stores & equipment, overseeing staff and patients’ welfare by ensuring their security; management of the hospital/health institution mortuary;
• Provide secretarial and administrative services to various committees and;
• Maintenance of health administrative service standards in hospital/health institution
