About the job

• Repairs and maintenance of all types of refrigeration equipment such as centrifugal chillers, air-cooled chillers, walk in cold-room and freezer rooms and other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment.
• Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as window units, package units and fan coil units.
• Carries out electric arc or oxyacetylene welding.
• Carries out air conditioning and refrigeration preventive and routine maintenance. Attends to repairs and maintenance of refrigeration equipment electrical control system.
• Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work in the hotel premises, including any new additional/extensions to the hotel or any other properties maintained by the hotel.
• Responding to a guest maintenance request within 5 minutes on receipt of the same.
• Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a guestroom or public areas.
• Ensures that the plant rooms, workshops and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
• Observes prescribed safety standards. Helps maintain safe conditions for self and others.
• Ensures compliance to Hotel Standards and Specifications.
• Maintains and enforces all quality, service standards and procedure for Engineering Service.
• Ensures guest complains are collected and actions upon in order to delight our guests and avoid repeats of the same.
• Ensures that all SOPs and Best Practices are followed at all times.
• Participates on reviews and evaluates all Engineering equipment and supplies periodically to select appropriate products for purchase
• Ensures that all equipment’s are maintained as per the manufacturer Operating Manuals to ensure productivity at all times.
• Ensures consistent and accurate inventories are taken in accordance with the Hotel policies and procedures and documentations are complied.
• Prepares reviews and submits all reports in a timely manner.
• Ensures that all preventive maintenance and general cleaning programs/ schedules are in place and executed accordingly.
• Ensures that the maintenance schedules are adhered to, updated and reviewed on monthly basis.
• Ensures Zero defects in the rooms.
• Ensures Room Perfect Program is adhered to.
• Ensures the highest level of safety and security by facilitating effective training programs that delivers a high degree of awareness amongst staff.
• Ensures that the department key control procedures are strictly adhered too.
• Ensures that the environmental initiatives are adhered to in the workplace and participates in community activities and programs.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
