Human Resource Officer at Alba Hotel Meru

• We are seeking a self-driven Human Resource Officer to manage day-to-day HR operations, including payroll, compliance with labour laws, staff relations, and core HR processes, with minimal supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage end-to-end HR operations including onboarding, contracts, payroll coordination, leave, and employee records
• Ensure compliance with the Kenya Employment Act (2007) and Data Protection Act (2019)
• Support recruitment, training, and performance management processes
• Serve as the main contact for employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters
• Handle disciplinary hearings, terminations, and dispute resolution professionally
• Oversee payroll accuracy and conduct regular HR compliance audits

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or a related field
• 3-4 years' HR experience within the hospitality industry
• CHRP certification is an added advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Solid knowledge of the Kenyan Employment Act
