    Junior HR Advisor

    Kasha is looking for an HR Advisor to oversee, refine, and execute employee policies and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes. The incumbent will maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including researching and proposing compensation benchmarks, and other employee packages.

    Here Is What Your Typical Working Day Will Look Like:

    • Support line managers and employees in a timely manner with respect to a wide range of HR/personnel matters, ensuring that daily HR operational activities are managed effectively/smoothly.
    • In cooperation with the Chief People Officer, identify, develop and implement required HR Policies and Procedures to enhance the HR function. Ensure that these best practice policies and procedures are adhered to and are compliant with employment legislation.
    • Lead and serve as a point of contact for new hire onboarding/orientation and probation coordination. Ditto for offboarding. Develop and execute related plans and programs.
    • Support with the production of monthly payroll data. Support with compensation cycle tasks, select/work with benefits vendors as required. Ensure benefits programs are maintained and appropriately communicated support with the development of related policy documents as needed.
    • Ensure effective internal communications by supporting the CPO with information/communication initiatives.
    • Support the HR administrator with keeping HR data updated and accurate in line with on-the-ground changes.
    • Support the Recruitment/Mobility team from an administration perspective, with applications for work/residence/other permits, liaising with the relevant vendors/agencies as required.
    • Support with the management/coordination of the performance management cycle including planning, driving managers/staff for timely completion, manager coaching, identification/costing/execution of training needs as well as reviewing the effectiveness of completed training.
    • Support/ideate/execute employee engagement project/initiatives.
    • Support the ESMS program with relevant HR, HSE, Privacy, and other related projects.
    • Collaborate with internal teams including recruiting, alumni, and hiring managers to meet hiring targets. Ensure timely, efficient, and appropriate recruitment of staff including job creation of role profiles, advertisements, candidate sourcing, interviewing, testing and selection to enable the company to attract and select the best candidates.

    Your Qualifications:

    • 2-4 years of work experience as a Junior HR Advisor.
    • A good working knowledge or affinity with Kenya labor laws is a distinct advantage.
    • Experience in drafting or working with good workable HR policies/procedures.
    • The ability and attention to detail to independently craft appropriately worded and styled. documents, emails, and templates in good business English.
    • An understanding of data privacy laws where this pertains to HRM is most helpful.
    • A degree in Human Resources or a relevant field is a distinct advantage (or working towards this qualification).
    • Diplomacy and discretion.
