Junior Mechanic Engineer at Pipe Masters and Plastics Limited

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Mechanical Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience to contribute to our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and ensure production efficiency.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards.
• Conducting quality control inspections and tests to ensure products meet regulated requirements and customer specifications.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
• Assisting in the development of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
• Creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Utilizing ERP software to track production metrics, analyze data, and generate reports.
• Providing technical support to production staff and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in the (FMCG) industry will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledgeable about quality control standards and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and scheduling.
• Proficient in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Experience with ERP software for production planning and tracking.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
