Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. Dispatching the results for clinical/Research management
Support with mapping of clinical and waste facilities in project counties that can/will contribute to environmental surveillance for enteric pathogens.
Enhance systems for checking the quality of environmental testing through use and timely review of internal quality control results, external quality assurance scheme results, proficiency testing program results and other sources of quality indicator data.
Support with joint field and household visits to collect AR data using available tools for analysis to determine communities’ exposure.
Routine and daily maintenance of laboratory equipment;
Ensuring adherence to biosafety and biosecurity guidelines;
Taking part in preparation of Standards Operations Procedures (SOPs).
Vacancy Requirements:
Diploma in any of the following fields: Medical Laboratory Sciences, Applied Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biotechnology or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Experience in environmental surveillance work, microbiology and AMR are added advantage.
Registration Certificate issued by the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB) where applicable, or any other recognized regulatory body;
Valid practicing license from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists where applicable;
