Description
The Lead Civil Engineer will take ownership of all civil works for the Nakuru 35MW Menengai Geothermal Power Plant Project. This includes managing the quality and execution of civil subcontractor work, ensuring full compliance with the Issued Designs, and effectively managing site resources while enforcing the QHSE plan. The Lead Civil Engineer must have a deep understanding of the Issued drawings, design, Employer Requirements ( ER), bar bending schedule ( BBS), BS & EN Standards, collaborate closely with clients and consultants, attend scheduled meetings, and provide regular reports to the Construction Manager and Project Manager. Additionally, the Lead Civil Engineer will coordinate daily with the Engineering team, QA/QC Team of project partners and clients, and internal engineering teams to ensure alignment and smooth integration of all disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and piping. The role also requires anticipating potential project risks—such as safety issues, quality concerns, project delays, technical constraints, subcontractors and service providers and escalating these risks to the Construction Manager while proposing viable solutions.
