    Business Development Officer (Ruiru)

    Role Background

    The sales development officer will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and the ability to demonstrate our ICT products in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and attending trade shows, it’s essential that our business development officer be personable and professional.

    Responsibilities

    • Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
    • Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.
    • Champion social media strategy and presence.
    • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
    • Increasing the value of current clients while attracting new ones.
    • Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
    • Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.
    • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.
    • Maintaining client records.
    • Answering client questions about products, prices, and availability.
