Logistics Officer at Wananchi Group

• Wananchi Group Kenya is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Officer to join our dynamic team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating logistics operations, ensuring efficient shipment processing, and maintaining compliance with regulatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments (sea, air, road).
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment processing and delivery.
• Track shipment schedules, prepare logistics status reports, and proactively highlight delays.
• Ensure full compliance with KRA, KEBS, and all regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams for receipt, verification, and safe storage of goods.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or related field.
• Professional certification (CIPS/KISM) is an added advantage 3-5 years' experience in logistics, preferably in the telecom, ICT, or FMCG sector.
• Experience with ERP systems (eg, Oracle, SAP, Navision, or similar).
• Proven experience working with clearing agents, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies.
