Mechanical Technician-Nairobi at Frank Management Consult Ltd

Job Purpose
To develop and implement maintenance plans, and to oversee the installation and commissioning of new machines.

Key Responsibilities of the job:

• Interpreting diagrams, drawings, specifications and plans
• Troubleshooting malfunctions and performing repairs
• Disassembly and assembly of machine and components
• Measuring and marking out materials for fabrication
• Cutting, grinding and welding of metals and other materials
• Setting up tools and machinery for fabrication
• Documenting processes and maintaining records
• Optimizing plant efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
• Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
• Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to statutory requirements
• Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of machinery and equipment
• Operating specialised tools and machinery.

Academic and/or Professional Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Previous relevant work experience required

• 3 years
