    Pharmaceutical Technologist III

    Requirement for appointment

    • Must be a Kenyan citizen
    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent qualification approved by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board from a recognized institution.
    • Certificate of Enrollment as a Pharmaceutical Technologist awarded by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and
    • Certificate in Computer Applications Skills from a recognized institution.

    Responsibilities

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The officer will be responsible for dispensing drugs and medicines to patients under the supervision of a senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities include;

    1. Receiving, interpreting and processing prescriptions
    2. Recording prescriptions in pharmacy unit
    3. Pre-tracking, re-packing and writing instructions on labels
    4. Counselling of patients on use of drugs in pharmacy unit
    5. Maintaining drug registers/books and
    6. Stock-taking of drugs and medical devices every month.

    1. Hand delivered applications should be dropped at the offices of the Migori County Public Service Board located at Nyamome along Namba – Masara road adjacent to Nyamome SDA church.
    2. All applications should reach the Secretary/CEO Migori County Public Service Board on or before Wednesday 5th January, 2021 at 5:00pm.
    3. Shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original identity cards, academic and professional certificates and testimonials.
    4. For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, applicants must obtain the following clearances:
      1. Tax compliance certificate from KRA
      2. Clearance certificate from HELB
      3. Clearance certificate from Ethics and Anticorruption Commission (EACC)
      4. Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation Department
