Cytonn FinTech, a subsidiary of Cytonn Investments, is a digital platform that will connect individuals to financial planning solutions including mutual funds, housing, diaspora products, pensions, crowdfunding, digital loans, insurance, healthcare and education financial solutions.
Cytonn is looking for an experienced and innovative individual to drive its FinTech business. The position will connect individuals to financial planning solutions including mutual funds, housing, diaspora products, pensions, crowdfunding, digital loans, insurance, healthcare and education financial solutions.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Cytonn FinTech’s overall business operations, market strategy, expansion plans, and tracking of operational activities towards achieving the goal of 1.7 million customers and Kshs 100 billion of Assets Under Management
- Develop multiple products linked to Cytonn’s retail and high-net-worth funds around homeownership, education, pensions, savings, healthcare, insurance and any other as part of the market reach strategy
- Lead the set up and growth of the FinTech team, and establish a highly motivated work environment
- Create a sense of purpose for the Cytonn FinTech business; describe the vision for the business and provide the direction on how to achieve the vision
- Develop structures and developing processes for the FinTech business; this will allow institutionalization of the business
- Assume responsibility for the P&L of Cytonn FinTech and continuously develop initiatives to grow revenues, while optimizing expenses
- Lead Cytonn FinTech in any capital raising initiatives that the business requires as part of its operational or strategic plans
- Working with consultants, guide the Board and Senior Management on the best legal, tax and finance jurisdiction for the establishment of Cytonn FinTech
- Guide the Senior Management Team at Cytonn on the best methods to understand and navigate the regulatory environment in all jurisdictions that Cytonn FinTech shall operate in
- Maintain awareness and appraise the Board and Senior Management of the competitive market landscape, considering expansion opportunities and industry developments
- Assess all risks to the FinTech business, and ensure they are monitored and minimized
- Communicate on behalf of Cytonn FinTech to all relevant stakeholders
- Drive the brand strategy and positioning
- Build a digital lending business, including recruitment of the right Team to drive the business
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-years of experience with FinTech business in a leadership or management role, or any relevant experience for the FinTech business,
- Innovative and solution-oriented individuals
- Experience with hiring, developing and retaining the best talent
- Experience with analytics, data, and business intelligence
- Strong relationship management skills
- Professional attitude, and ability to work in a team
- Technical and financial savvy is an added advantage
- Business or related degree
