    Principal Scheme Administration Officer (Benefits Administration)

    Job description

    Duties and responsibilities will entail assisting in

    • Initiating, developing, implementing and reviewing Scheme Administration Policies, regulations, strategies, guidelines and programmes on Benefits;
    • Verifying legitimate retiree, beneficiary and dependant (s);
    • Verifying computation of benefits;
    • Processing payments of benefits to the retiree, beneficiary and/or dependants;
    • Developing and reviewing mechanism to facilitate members access statement of their retirement savings accounts; and providing guidance to members in interpreting their benefit options and premiums for regular payments.

    Requirement for appointment

    For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -

    • A minimum period of eight (8) years in relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in supervisory role in a position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
    • Bachelor's Degree in any of the following fields: Human Resources Management, Commerce, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Insurance, Business Administration, Procurement, Education, Public Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Master's Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Human Resources Management, Commerce, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Insurance, Business Administration, Procurement, Education, Public Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Membership to a professional body and in good standing, where applicable.
    • Proficiency in computer applications;
    • Good Communication skills;
    • Demonstrated results in work performance; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.
