Purchasing Officer at KEDA Kenya Ceramics Company Limited

​​​DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Age Requirement-25-35 years.
• Receiving and processing internal purchase requisitions.
• Sourcing for quotations (bids) and, Evaluation of quotes (bids) received from vendors.
• Preparing procurement plans.
• Processing Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and Local Service Orders (LSOs).
• Training and meetings logistical support including venue booking and procurement of training supplies.
• Vendor invoices processing and reconciliation of vendor accounts.
• Setting up and keeping track of vendor contracts.
• Conducting market surveys and maintaining a cost database of commonly used itoms
• Any other duties assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or relevant to the position.
• More than 3 years of work experience in a busy procurement office preferably in a manufacturing company but not a must.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and systems (SAP system).

• Computer proficiency (Excel, word, powerpoint) and good analytical skills.
• Good communication and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Team player.
• Attention to details and self-motivated. Able to work under minimum supervision.
• Flexible work schedule (Monday-Saturday).
