    Recruiter

    Job Overview:  

    • The Recruiter will focus on our mid level and expatriate hiring and will have their own portfolio of positions to conduct full life cycle recruiting. Responsibilities will include all sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking and final negotiations for open positions. All work will be accomplished in a spirit of partnership with the hiring manager and other relevant colleagues in People & Culture. We are looking for someone who understands and looks to exceed industry standards, and a person who is always looking for new and creative ways to recruit as well. Our goal is to ensure the timely selection of top talent, who will contribute to IRC’s organizational culture, while contributing to the organization position as an employer of choice. 
    • From generating a talent pool to creating a positive candidate and hiring manager experience, you own the entire recruitment process. By using your knowledge of our programs’ hiring needs and role requirements, you optimally match candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful. In this role, you will have conduct global outreach and the opportunity to recruit in 40+ countries and across various regions (MENA, Asia, West Africa, East Africa, Great Lakes and LATAM).

    Major Responsibilities: 

    • Recruit highly qualified talent and achieve a consistently fast paced time to fill
    • Lead recruiting-related initiatives to support the Strategy100 and the IRC Gender & DEI strategy while maintaining compliance to local labor regulations and donor requirements 
    • Find a diverse set of potential candidates who meet the qualifications/requirements of the positions within an agreed timeline
    • Build relationships with country programs and when needed support their country level recruitment or capacity building efforts
    • Provide an efficient and high-quality experience for every candidate from application stage to offer, evaluating skill level, driving the interview process and offer process, including robust reference checks, salary recommendations and closing of candidates
    • Gain a deep understanding of IRC’s programs and operations, in order to provide outstanding talent sourcing, recruiting, and hiring in support of, and partnership with, hiring managers
    • Travel up to 10% annually, as necessary

    Job Requirements:

    • Work Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of mid level or senior level recruitment experience within an international non-governmental organization (INGO) or other large, global organization
    • Language Skills: Professional level proficiency in English and French required. Proficiency in either Arabic or Spanish would be a plus.

    Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, and experience recruiting across multiple regions and countries simultaneously
    • Experience with recruiting systems (ATS & CRM), job boards and social media tools and strategies to source and attract talent
    • Demonstrated experience and ability to create, implement, maintain and improve recruitment strategies and systems in a fast pace context 
    • Demonstrated success in building professional relationships with key senior management and global partners
    • Excellent project management, interpersonal and negotiation skills and a proven ability to provide excellent client service in a cross-cultural context
    • Strong collaborator with effective interpersonal and analytical skills who is able to work seamlessly across countries, cultures, and organizational units required
