Restaurant Manager – Nairobi, Kenya at Summit Recruitment and Search

• Our client, a fast growing fast food restaurant, is looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to manage the day to day operations of the restaurant and help scale the business.
• This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, someone practical, proactive, and comfortable leading a team. The ideal candidate must be Kenyan have experience in the hospitality sector and is willing to relocate to Dare salaam.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure fast service, consistent food quality, and smooth workflow
• Take full ownership of inventory management, including stock control, ordering, and minimizing waste
• Monitor costs closely (food, labour, and supplies) and take action to improve efficiency and profitability
• Recruit, train, schedule, and actively manage staff across front and back of house
• Coordinate kitchen and service teams to avoid delays and improve speed of service
• Step in wherever needed during peak hours and lead the team under pressure

Key Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Proven experience in fast food or high-volume restaurant operations, ideally in a supervisory or management role
• Experience in a startup or growing business is highly preferred — ability to build structure, adapt quickly, and take initiative
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and hold a team accountable
• Solid understanding of inventory management, cost control, and daily operations
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
