Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at thislevel will entail:

• Participating in interpreting and implementing the human resource management policies and circulars;
• Undertaking training needs analysis, projections and developing training programmes;
• Participating in staff recruitment, selection, induction and placement;
• Processing the payroll;
• Assisting in managing staff welfare schemes;
• Maintaining human resource managementinformation system;
• Consolidating information for payroll processing;
• Supporting in the management ofstaff probation, confirmation, promotion and exit process; and
• Verifying and maintaining human resource records.

Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Cumulative service period ofsix (6) yearsrelevant work experience three (3) of which must have been in the grade of Human Resource Management Officer I or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

OR

• Bachelor degree in Social Sciences plus post graduate diploma inHuman Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Professional qualification and membership of Institute of Human Resources Management (IHRM) or its equivalent, and in good standing; and
• Proficiency in computer applications;
