JOB PURPOSE:
Senior Infrastructure and Hardware Analyst holds the responsibility of administering all IT assets and infrastructure, ensuring their optimal functionality, and providing support, repairs, and maintenance for desktop and laptop PCs. This role encompasses the maintenance of both local and remote servers, ensuring adherence to information security controls, and conducting comprehensive reporting, system performance monitoring, and performance tuning.
Additionally, the Senior Infrastructure and Hardware Analyst oversees the planning, development, installation, testing, modification, and evaluation of all networks (LANs and WANs) and associated client services. This includes monitoring the entire lifecycle of these processes to optimize system performance, enhance reliability, and support the technological needs of the organization.
Main accountabilities of the Senior Infrastructure & Hardware Analyst will include: -
- Ensuring that all end users have access to network facilities and devices with minimum downtime for their day-to-day operations
- Ensuring continued operations by IT and end users by having optimal stock of consumables.
- Preparing and processing DMKL Server room maintenance - Ensure IT servers, routers, firewalls switches are maintained as per policy and kept in a controlled environment.
- Ensuring that all end users have access to the IT facilities in all sections of the company
- Ensuring that backups are successfully ran for all applications and user data systems servers on regular basis.
- Ensuring all servers running on virtual environment are operating without issues.
REQUIREMENTS: -
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: -
- A University Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Sound technical knowledge in Networking.
- Experience in implementation of virtual environments.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure, datacenter hardware and software.
- Organizing deployment of IT equipment, software implementations and user support for local and remote users.
- Experience in IT assets inventory management.
- Diagnosis and troubleshooting skills on IT hardware performance.
