    Senior Lecturer - International Faculty - Information Communication Technology

    Job Objective

    The University is expanding its academic horizons by seeking exceptional international scholars, researchers, and industry-experienced academics from around the world to join our team. We seek to build a vibrant, multicultural, world-class faculty committed to elevating teaching, research, and global collaboration. The candidates should be willing to relocate to Kenya for a period of at least two (2) years.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Offer academic and administrative leadership;  
    • Deliver high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;  
    • Contribute to curriculum internationalisation;  
    • Mentor junior academic and research staff;  
    • Supervise research and mentor diverse student cohorts;  
    • Engage in impactful research, publications, and grant applications;  
    • Support global partnerships and cross-cultural initiatives;  
    • Bring fresh, global perspectives to the classroom and the University at large;  
    • Community service and outreach. 

    Qualification and experience

    • A minimum of a relevant PhD, Masters and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Software Engineering/ Data Science/Computer Informatics/ Artificial Intelligence or a relevant field from an accredited and recognised University;

    Additional Qualification Requirements:

    • Must be currently serving at the level of a Senior Lecturer in an accredited University; 
    • Must have a minimum of three (3) years teaching/ research experience at the university level; 
    • Must have evidence of publications, attendance and contribution at academic conferences and having attracted research funds; 
    • Supervised at least two (2) postgraduate students to completion; 
    • Demonstrable leadership and administrative experience, and abilities.

    Competencies Required:

    • Cross-cultural communication skills with good written and spoken English. 
    • Student-centred teaching approach. 
    • Ability to integrate technology into teaching. 
    • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities. 
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in multicultural environments
